Pannu family drive to save lives

All it takes is a simple cheek swab to find out if you are a match to save someone’s life.

After our mum was diagnosed with leukaemia, a life-threatening blood cancer, we went through a journey that unfortunately too many will be familiar with. A stem cell transplant is our mum’s only hope for survival and, thanks to medical advancements, it's easier to do than ever before.

Until this happened to us, we did not realise the gravity of such a gesture or the importance of the stem cell donor register. This is why we want to encourage as many people as possible to sign up. Representation from ethnic minority communities on the stem cell register is sadly very low, but together we can change that!

A simple test and painless donation can allow people to continue spending quality time with their loved ones, bringing light to those going through their darkest days.

Please register and spread the word!

You could be saving someone’s parent, grandparent, sibling, friend or child - and perhaps our mum.

It does not take much to do something amazing.
