Karen and Simon Williams wanted to do something special for their tenth wedding anniversary, but weren’t sure what. It was a call from Simon’s friend Paul Margiotta to tell them that he had Myelodysplastic Syndrome and would need a blood stem cell donation that helped them decide. Devastated at Paul’s diagnosis and wanting to show support for a great friend, they decided that they were going to cycle from their home in Milton Keynes to London to help raise money for and awareness of a charity of Paul’s choice. Paul chose us!

Paul chose us!
Karen and Simon decided that it would be fun to do the cycle on a tandem and so they bought ‘Tallulah’. Then, after weeks of preparation, Karen and Simon undertook the tandem cycle on Saturday and successfully reached London in time to celebrate their tenth anniversary in the city!
Congratulations to Karen and Simon for embarking on such an inspiring challenge. Everyone at Delete Blood Cancer UK wishes them a happy tenth anniversary!
